Welcome to BillDivide! This Privacy Policy explains how BillDivide ("App", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and discloses your information when you use our services. Please read this Policy carefully before using the App.
We only collect the minimum information necessary to operate the App effectively and provide you with a seamless experience. This includes:
Email Address: Used for account creation, password resets, and sending important updates about your bill splits. Name: Used for personalization and to display it within the App for group activities. We do not collect any other personal information such as phone numbers, financial information, or location data.
Authentication:
We use email OTP (one-time password) for secure account creation and authentication. The OTP is sent to your registered email address and is valid for a limited time. We do not store your OTPs on our servers.

Account Creation and Management: To create your account, manage your profile, and send you important account-related information. Facilitating Bill Splitting: To allow you to create and manage bill splits, invite participants, and track settlements within the App.
Communication: To send you important updates about the App, account activity, and bill split reminders.
